This may be a stupid question, but when we adjust a model (say to re-trim something) and then re-upload it, are we automatically hit with a new model processing fee by Matterport?

Nope. You can re-upload it again and wont be charged. Not sure if there is a limit.

@Jennifer I give you a response from Scott (Matterport Support)

Hello Piero!

Good questions:

1) Edits always create new models. That way, if you make a mistake or just want to compare other models, the old one is still there.

2) There is no charge for editing/reuploading/duplicating models.

3) Yes, the extra model will count against your hosting. So, if you don't want the old model, you can just delete it.

Does that make sense?

-Scott

Hmm must have changed then? When the feature to re-upload was released in sure we weren't getting charged. Anyway I delete models I dont want.

I understand matterport needs to make money - and if you are a realtor you can change the model processing fee to the client, however in other applications it can become very expensive to use. I think the amount of "free" models you get is not enough; or that we should be charged by the number of hosted models and to process them.
