iPad Air 1 vs iPad Air 2368

JamieSher private msg quote post Address this user
Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone has experienced capture time improvements on the iPad Air 2 vs Air 1? I've go the Air 1 and it's all good but I have heard that it's crazy fast at transfer time and alignment with the new iPad. Of course the camera will always spin as fast as it does but please let me know. If the times are better I'll upgrade!

Cheers,
Jamie.

Hey Jamie

We got the new iPad Air 2 last week and it INCREDIBLE how big a difference it makes! The loading time is so much quicker I was truly shocked!

Thanks

Marcia

Does the memory size of the iPAd air 2 make any difference?

You're welcome to take mine for a test run Jamie. Could run simultaneously, and see if there is any notable difference.

@JamieSher I have created a ton of models with the iPad Air 1 and iPad Air 2.

There is a noticeable difference in the time it takes to complete 200 scan projects.

Now that I shoot with the iPad Air 2, it would be hard to go back to an iPad Air 1.

Thanks heaps for that guys, Mort, cheers for the sharing opportunity but I've a feeling that it's all worth the upgrade! Anything to reduce on site time is well worth it, even if it's a $10m apartment with river and city views :0

@Property3dNZ great info! By loading time you mean time per scan or time to upload a model to be process by Matterport?

Thanks!

Hi @alegonzabot - sorry I should have clarified - I mean loading per scan - incredible difference!
