New Models:

DJI Mavic 2
DJI Mavic 2 Zoom
DJI Mavic 2 Enterprise

New Features:

- Omnidirectional obstacle avoidance
- APAS
- Active Track 2.0.

^^ THe underbelly has "openings for screws, ultrasonic sensors, downward dual-vision sensors, and a downward infrared sensing system to allow for better positioning when flying (and landing) in general and especially indoors"

With all of this onboard obstacle avoidance tech and the abilities that 3rd party developers have to interface with this device, I could imagine that the DJI Mavic could in essence be used for 3D mapping of an object. It might be quite rudimentary and not anywhere close to a LIDAR -- but if one wanted to map out the inside of a cave, for instance, I believe it would work.
