Dear Matterport,

I read this in a related WGAN Forum discussion here:

How could this possibly still be true?!

It's been months that this issue was first identified in the WGAN Forum and amplified during the Matterport Ecosystem kerfuffle.

When we invite a client to be a collaborator, our - the entire WGAN Forum Community - is NOT to grant Matterport permission to sell cameras to our clients.

Matterport, when will you fix this? Give us a date!!!

You can't be saying, "We Matterport Service Providers and at the same time trying to sell Matterport Cameras to Matterport Service Provider clients.

Simply bad behavior. If not for those of us that have a Matterport Camera, then for those thinking about buying a Matterport Camera. Things like this add up when a Pro is deciding to invest in Matterport.

Again, Matterport, when will you fix this? Give us a date!!!

If it HAS already been fixed, I will be first in line to apologize.

Best,

Dan

It does give the opportunity to uncheck the box that says "receive information from Matterport". But that box is automatically already selected by default. I tell my collaborators to de-select it to avoid receiving a ton of unwanted email.
