Pilot One Time Lapse Images15726

jcyin private msg quote post Address this user
Is it possible to export a list of still images when capturing time lapse using the Pilot One or Pilot Era? Right now all I see is that it will generate a complete time lapse video. What I need are the still images instead.

Thanks!

@jcyin

"Timelapse mode is saved as video at 7680 x 3840. Photo mode is 8192 x 4096. You could use [redacted] software to export frames of the video or export frames in Premier," according to a Member of the Labpano Community.

"Hi Dan If you need to extract still images with embedded GPS data and 360 meta data I suggest you try my VID2JPG software (or GSV2JPG if the video is GSV format). Otherwise other such as Adobe Premiere can be used," according to a Member of the Labpano Community. [I will Private Message you his Facebook Member Name, if case you want to Private Message him.]

So if I want to use the Labpano cameras to take 2 second interval 360 photos, the only way to get the still images is to export the frames from the generated time lapse video?

Yes. That's my understanding.

You just need something that can do frame extraction from a video. There is a free tool created for GSV videos you can use for it. It is called GSV2JPG. You can ask for an access to it using the following URL

Thanks for the link! Will the extracted frame 360 images be the same resolution as 360 images taken normally with the Pilot One or Era? Or will they be really compressed?
