Hi All, I recall that there was confusion on the following topic, but was resolved in favor of Matterport Service Providers with Matterport Classic Pricing. If you have experienced this challenge - a Matterport model with 100+ scans - and know how this was finally resolved - please post here. thanks, Dan -- Hi Dan, I believe I read somewhere that on grandfathered plans the free processing credits can only be applied to under 100 scans. If you have a file that is 102 scans and have 7 credits on your account, Matterport will NOT apply 2 credits to process but bill 2 x $19 =$38 If this is the case, I think it is ridiculous and question the legality of it Any thoughts on this matter? Can this be posted anonymously on WGAN to get other MSP's thoughts? Thank you for all the great work you do [redacted] |

This is the case Dan. I was charged $38 for a space with more than 100 scans this month. Then I was charged twice for submitting the same tour to GSV twice. I made a mistake blurring faces and I had to undo blur re-submitted and paid for this service again. So two spaces submitted this month brought my invoice to almost $150(from basic $49) with 3 GSV submissions in total for two spaces and $38 for one being over 100. Only one was counted towards three spaces. So Matterport is making good money even on old basic plans. And I still would be happy if they keep old plans as at least I will have 100 models limit. As for legality I do not think it is legal at all. You cannot change your prices without any notice to your subscribers with this type of service. These prices and terms are part of a subscription. Matterport should have told their subscribes that things that were known to cost as much have changed and cost more now. Instead they just bill their subscribers with new prices according to some new terms. They have been not in original terms that spaces with 100 and more scans would cost double and are not supposed to be counted towards free processing credit. |
