Hi All,

If you are using an iPad Mini for Matterport 3D Tour scanning...

What are the Pros and Cons of iPad Mini with Matterport scanning?

Now that Apple announced today both refreshed Apple iPad Air and iPad Mini, I could imagine that those just buying a Matterport Camera are trying to decide between Apple Air Versus Apple Mini.

Thanks,

Dan

Mini - anytime. With the processor being the same in both (RAM in question) it is mini wins hands down for portability.
No reason to opt for air.

How many mb does a average 50-100 scan tour take up. Because max storage is 250 gb

Best all around for portability, processing, and ad-hoc presentations is the iPad Pro 11” for us. We avg. 250-300 scans per house (dense scanning), zero problems other than needing a battery power pak.

30MB per scan. If you consider 200GB off 250 for the capture app, you can count on roughly 6600 scans.

It is safe and best you invest in multiple devices than one single larger - when price point variation is not huge, considering the advantages of multiple vs single.

I matterport aprtments with professional photography . Most aprts only require 50-75 scans . So should get enough per mini .Using 12.9 ipad pro now but pain to lug around.
