Not sure yet. I'm waiting until I see the quality of HD photos that can be pulled from the scans. I've been told that will be available soon. For me, that's important.

The main issue with all 3D Virtual tours is that most people looking for homes never see them. Most realtors who use them don't do anything with them besides submit them to MLS, and in the majority of those listings it's impossible to find the 3D tour, if it's even on the listing.

Without a heavy social media presence by both myself and the Realtors I work with, very few people would see any of the tours I do.

Whichever company, Matterport or GeoCV, can figure out how to make 3D Tours organically more relevant, I believe will dominate the 3D Tour space...IMHO

It will really come down to price point and getting it on the playing field. If GeoCV can get their pricing down so there is enough margin to actually make a decent profit for service providers, they will do very well in my opinion. Right now, in the initial stages of establishment, the ROI isn't really there for long-term investment feasibility into the platform. I definitely see huge potential though... I just don't know if they are going to move forward fast enough to realize it in most markets. As with most startups, if they spend too much time making it "perfect" they will likely either run out of money or lose momentum. Either could spell trouble and right now, at least on the surface, they appear to be on track for both. If I had to guess right now, hardware production overhead cost has the potential to ground them early and their failure to enter the market at a price point comparable to, if not better than Matterport could ultimately close the door on their opportunity to establish a credible presence in most markets. The smart move would be to get the service online sooner than later at a very competitive entry price so the ROI to providers will make them excited about growing with the platform. Unless that happens, I fear the race could be over before it really even gets started. All of that, and we haven't even mentioned the white elephant in the room, the Matterport lawsuit.
