Getting highlight reel to work first time... what's the secret?8469

| Anyone else have this frustration: In Matterport workshop I build the highlight reel, make my tour type selection (slideshow or walkthrough), Go back to the 3D Showcase controls under assets to make sure TOUR BUTTON and HIGHLIGHT REEL are selected and hit PUBLISH. Everything looks tickety boo. Then when I exit workshop and test the model I find that the highlight reel isn't working. I have to go back into workshop. The highlight reel images are all where they were, but my tour type selection often isn't selected and the TOUR BUTTON and HIGHLIGHT REEL are not selected. I make my selections again and hit PUBLISH, and sometimes it works this time... sometimes it works the third or fourth time. In the end, it ultimately works, but hardly ever the first time. So frustrating! Anyone else experiencing this? And yes... I am making certain to hit PUBLISH. In fact, that button is Yellow until you select it and then it goes gray. |

| @Queen_City_3D, I’ve dealt with that a lot! Sadly I have had the exact same experience. The closest thing I have found to a real “fix” has been to plan to: 1. Setup the snapshots and “publish” 2. Choose the style Walkthrough or slideshow and “publish” 3. Close the HLR window 4. Turn on the Show HLR and Show controls tabs on the left and “Publish” 5. Open a new tab and load the tour to test before leaving workshop A few times I have had to close Workshop and re-open it to re-do steps 2-5 with success. At any rate, it is definitely some type of bug. I’ve been building tons of HLRs for clients who used my Matterport to Video service while it was in beta and I just thought I wasn’t doing something right. It makes me feel better knowing it’s not just me 🤣 God Bless, Chris |
