How do you make money in the AEC Space?
For renovations, architects need an "As Built" 3D Tour (and related data). Often, the CAD files do not exist for an old building. Or, the building has been modified since it was originally built.
So, to do a renovation design, architects either need to take a ton of measurements and photos to then re-construct the space (and then begin design). Or, use Matterport (or other 3D Tour solution) to have a 3D Tour "As Built" and use the data (MatterPak) to begin design.

|I would not disregard this channel of business and it’s definitely worth learning how to get it. This segment of business is like Matterport in 2014. No one is gong after it and the ones that do are making good money as it becomes a consistent stream of business. Real estate is up and down and with more drama. This business pays more and brings in more business than a bunch of real estate scans. I heard about this from Dan and I recommend follow his posts about this as well as YouTube videos.|
