PropTech reality capture startup, GeoCV won top honors at the 2018 Realcomm Digie Awards. The awards recognize outstanding real estate companies positively impacting commercial real estate with intelligent technology innovation and applications.

GeoCV’s solution won the Best Tech Innovation: Commercial/Corporate Real Estate. It was highlighted as the only solution, leveraging 3D-enabled smartphones to produce a high fidelity Virtual Open House™. In addition to its ease of use, their platform is flexible on the service and also allows for an open approach to the data. This promises exponential use cases to brick and mortar industries by using 3D space representation throughout the life cycle, from construction to interior design, property management, insurance and even virtual shopping.

Signature features of GeoCV’s Virtual Open House™ include the full suite of real estate visual marketing, from cutting-edge 3D+360° walkthroughs with textured floor plans, to professional photos and virtual staging. The end-to-end visual marketing solution helps partners build their brand and save time in the process. The core technology includes a mobile app for 3D capturing reality, cloud software for 3D reconstruction and an easy-to-navigate photorealistic 3D viewer, soon to be available in VR.

The Realcomm Digie Awardshave been a part of the Realcomm conference for almost 20 years. They recognize brands leading the movement for a more efficient, effective and profitable commercial real estate industry. The conference brings together commercial real estate leaders to discuss and demonstrate the most recent innovations disrupting the industry.

Only two awards are given each year for Best Tech Innovation, which GeoCV being one. Realcomm notesthat winners must introduce new products to the market that, “re-engineer our very manual and disparate industry through the creation of innovative automation solutions.” This year’s recipients were announced June 6 at the Realcomm | IBcon 2018 conference in Las Vegas.

Computer vision veterans Anton Yakubenko and Gleb Krivovyaz founded GeoCV with over a decade of experience working with 3D technology. The company’s goal is to become the leading solution for capturing and experiencing reality in 3D leveraging what technology consumers carry with them each day: their phones.

Watching the video (above) I can vision that this is a real threat to MP and MSP's should take notice of this up and coming company. I'm sure that any shortcomings which exist currently with their offering will be soon be added to their solution and with the qualification of their development team they may even surpass MP's current offerings. This company has been around for some time and I was impressed by their immersive movement within their tour a year ago. I'm glad now that they've finally surfaces and are disclosing the tech which they use to capture locations. The final piece of the puzzle which is still unanswered is the cost of their device as well as how much the photographer makes for each shoot. In addition what is the monthly cost for a tour and can the client host their own tours. @GeoCV if you can allow the client or the photographer to host the final product you have a game changing solution here as a number of MSP will surely consider moving to GeoCV in order to give them complete control on their jobs. Keep up the great work and I look forward to what is next to come.
