I scanned a large performing theater. However, half of the theater got split into 2 floors by MP automatically. Even during the scanning I've had issues during the split portion in that the app would automatically place the dot into either the first level or second level. There is no indication on the APP for a second floor so there is no way I can move the scan points into the first floor. Please see attachment.

@Tette99

While capturing, Floor 1, Floor2, etc. is for your convenience so that you can see your scans. It has NOTHING to do how floors are divided by Matterport.

Unfortunately, the problem you have described does, occur. I recommend that you:

1. Ask Matterport Support for help (and let us know what they say)
2. Duplicate the model. Delete a scan or two and re-process. You might get lucky. (Other WGAN Forum Members have done this and reported success.
3. Step #2 did not work? Try repeating.

I hope this works out for you. It's a known issue by Matterport.

Best,

Dan

Thanks Dan.

I guess the elevation difference from the entrance of the theater to the front of the stage was too much deviation to be on a single floor. I’ve reuploaded the model and will see if it changes. Attached was the MP response.

@Tette99

I would still try. I did a theatre without this issue.

@Tette99

BTW, you are not charged for reprocessing ... create 20 variations and used different names to keep track.

Good luck and keep us posted please.
