Thought you all might enjoy this -

There's a lot of potential in scanning space for game development.

Cheers,
J.

pretty cool man ....lets hope that things like this encourages Matterport to try and increase the pixel density and quality of the obj mesh

it has so much potential...we could then do video fly through and virtual staging...imagine the possibilities

Hi, Jamie

How did you import obj, mtl, textures into UE4?

I did import them into Unity with Oculus Template, but I couldn't import them into UE4 because UE4 does not support .obj extension.

Hey VReal, I went (off the top of my head)- .obj>blender, export as .fbx, scale up 100 (program units differ), choose in a small drop down menu 'copy path' and embed textures. Unreal loves the .fbx format and no other but it's a good format as it can have textures embedded within a single file. That's pretty vague I know but can help if needed.... I know where to click the mouse so to speak

Jamie, Thank you. I imported fbx from blend to UE4 successfully. It works normally shadow on wall and ground. I will try to make a game.

Many thanks
