It's among the first imaging first LiDAR scanner under $20,000. I could imagine that if you have the right opportunity - large space where capturing great image quality and point cloud - the $16,000 - including outdoor scanning data - Leica BLK360 imaging laser scanner will be an excellent solution. While "under $20,000" sounds like a lot for many of us that bought a Matterport Camera - and related gear - for under $10,000 for those attending the SPAR 3D Conference that you LiDAR scanners for 40,000, $100,000 and more, this camera is likely to be very well received. Again, it depends on the project where the quality of the Matterport imagery is not sufficient and the point cloud not good enough and the $100,000 LiDAR cameras are over-kill for some projects, the Leica BLK360 becomes the go to choice. I could imagine that the Leica BLK360 imaging laser scanner will democratize high-end spherical image quality meets point cloud data to create demand for Pros to do scans for projects that previously would not have been done. Not every phase of a construction project needs the accuracy of a $100,000 scanner. "It's going to change how scanning works ... in profound ways," Greg Walsh with Leica. I agree with that.
