| Yes, I have used both. You need to consider that you are talking about 2 different cameras. The Insta is only for taking 360 images, which isn’t true virtual reality and basically a action camera, whereas the Matterport has been created for virtual reality. The Matterport will always be superior in every way. |

| Thank you - I've had no experience with the Insta360 product. The only reason I asked what the difference were is that I saw a tour online, which looked and felt like a regular matterport tour, but caught the Insta360 ONE X2 camera in a mirror, and I was surprised to see that it was the source for this end result | ||

| @mefederau If looking for a lessor cost of entry with a 360 camera I would roll with one of the Ricoh Theta's (V, SC2, Z1, or future X due out in March) The Ricoh's will provide a better image quality than the Insta360's in the Matterport ecosystem ~ the Ricoh's also open up the ability to shoot Zillow's 3D home tours which is another revenue source. That said though a "1 trick pony" a Matterport camera will produce a better model and image quality than any of the supported 360 camera. I'd have to dig through the forum here for some of my comparisons or grab some links when I am back at my desk but, I have shot tours with most all of the supported cameras with exception of the blk |
