Hey all
I am new to virtual tours and still looking at the possibility’s of this as a business.

It clear from my research that most Matterport pros offer real estate photography as a package alongside the tour and this seams like the best value to present to a prospective agent.

I have read that some are no longer using a DSLR and just the images pulled from Matterport but I can’t find any real examples.

It would be really helpful to see some examples of photos pulled from a MP pro 2 camera and Theta Z1 do you have any examples you can share?

Another question is how well do the images edit in photoshop and Lightroom should they need adjusting as they are only JPEG and not raw?

Thanks

You get passable jpg images from the Pro2 but nothing like as good as a good real estate photographer will achieve with a DSLR. So it depends on the value of the property and professionalism of the agent.
They edit perfectly well in Photoshop aAnd being HDR they have a good starting point.

I have found that for real estate listings the images are fine, and less expensive than my architectural photography services. The ratio is a bit wide, but can be cropped. Minor tonal adjustments are doable, but more than that, I have not been overly thrilled with results. Below is a link to a gallery of images I have gotten out of the Matterport system...hope this helps you...

@HarlanHambright - You have done substantial photo editing on those images, right?

They’ve been run through photoshop yes but I wouldn’t say substantial, just normal, but then I used to do all my own color printing.
