Does anyone know what aperture the matterport app uses when shooting with the Theta Z1.

Looks like it can vary a bit depending on lighting situations

This is the above Z1 low light matterport test. I shoot this space over & over again with various cameras I have shot this space with the Pro1, Pro2 and all 3 supported 360 cameras.

Correct, the capture app leaves the photos on the Z1 I just pulled the info out of iPhoto on the Mac

Zillow's 3D tour app now also allows you to keep the image on the Z1 ~ I typically shoot both Matterport (with the Pro2) and a Zillow 3D home tour. I like pulling a couple 360 photos for Facebook

Hello!

What configuration do you leave default on the THETA Z1 when you do a Matterport tour?

Greetings and thanks!

@Pau Auto HDR jpg ~ I believe the Capture app takes control over settings ~ I know Zillow's app does

@Pau @lilnitsch I would be interested to know which wireless protocol it uses.

Both Matterport & Zillow are connecting via wifi which bandwidth I couldn't tell you

@lilnitsch

Then I understand that the RAW (DNG) + JPEG file format cannot be configured?
If the CAPTURE application takes control of the configuration, does it not matter which default configuration is registered?

@leonherbert

I have not yet connected to CAPTURE but to the phone or iPad via WIFI. By wireless LAN for now I still have not been able to. The Z1 detects the wireless LAN but does not connect.

@lilnitsch

Wow!

Could I trouble you to start a new WGAN Forum discussion with five tests you did - different cameras - with the same space?

@leonherbert

-I will ask matterport support to see if I am lucky and receive an answer.

-Quality looks better than with THETA V.

-How do you solve with the THETA Z1 the issue of battery life on a large tour? It may be that next week you have an order to take a tour of some offices on two floors, each floor has 10,000 square feet total 20,000 square feet. Do you think I will have a problem with the battery life and the number of scans?

@Pau You can plug in a power bank with z1, that should cover the battery issues

@Pau like leonherbert mentioned you can simply power the Z1 with a battery bank

Okay.

And for the number of scans. Do you think I will have a problem with the number of scans?

@Pau I think you may be pushing it a little. Not a hard and fast rule but about 400 scans is what I have seen work with the matterport camera. I am also not sure how well the system works without infrared info that the matterport camera would collect for measurements and alignment. You may find problems with this size. If you create a model for each floor this may work.

I have not experimented with very large spaces and I also do not have a Z1 which may be more accurate. Anyone else have better info.

@Pau Larger space are "doable" however, alignment starts to be come an issue on a paying job I would stick with an actual matterport camera and fill in if needed with the Z1

This was done with my Z1 when I was at Inman Connect in Vegas (great opportunity to meet people)

@3DVirtuallyThere Large homes are fine through they may need shore power. Easily enough done via a power bank and a long usb c cable
