Question of the Day: Do you charge extra "per additional floor" for MP? DanSmigrod 6 3 monthsHome3D (1020): Maybe I’m the odd duck, but I bid each job individually. I offer so many services, MP, GeoCV, NodalView, Zillow 3D Home, HDR photography, aerial drone photos and video, Zillow video, professional video, websites... and every agent has their favorite combo. So I just ask what services they want and the square footage. Once I know what they want, I can make a quick mental calculation as to the hours on site (sometimes days) and the hours at...

Matterport Staircases-Bottom Up or Top Down? DanSmigrod 15 4 yearsHarlanHambright (1591): Here's something I just did: I'm scanning a HUGE beach cottage with 2 separate second floors. After finishing the first one, I got halfway up the stairs to the second one. After a scan, without moving the camera, I switched to 2nd floor then scanned again figuring that might help the device figure out where it was. It posted the new scan in exactly the right spot relative to the initial series of 2nd floor scans. Maybe a waste of a scan but it...
why a Sunken Living Room Becomes a Multi-Floor? Mikesobay 17 4 yearsMaria (106): I've had this issue pop up on occasion. Besides a sunk in living area become its own floor, we have also seen a floor of a split level home become an extension of the first floor. From my discussion with Matterport on the issue, they are tweaking their processing algorithms to prevent/reduce the occurrences of wrong floor issue. Back up your iPad scans so you can resubmit them later. Until then, turning of the floors is the best solution.
