Drone Mapping CFster 4 2 monthsWingman (285): There is nothing to navigate with in a 3d mapped model. It is just a 3D model and there is no way to walk through it. It can be used in architecture and 3d design and it also provides volumetric measurements of anything captured. Technically you can measure a pile of dirt on a ground that will help your customer to estimate how much trucks they need to move it from a site. And it is different from Matterport as in 3D mapping GPS coordinates...
Pix4D versus DroneDeploy DanSmigrod 6 2 monthsWingman (285): Pix4d has a capture app that can make an orbiting fly path around a property but it may be better just to do it manually. And to do it manually there is no need in any of these apps. I agree with FunN4Lo these apps and services mostly for 3d mapping with drones and they are not cheap. If somebody still wants to create a 3D model of a property you can try this software https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=81&v=k4NTf0hMjtY ...
Landscape CAD Tette99 12 6 monthsHelloPado (109): Im biased toward Pix4D because of its overall service and quality of output deliverables. I've used drone Deploy also. Either are suitable for your application. Although... neither will be beneficial for surveying terrain because you're working with what looks like a level lot. For kicks and giggles... will you give me the address and let me see what i can find.
GeoCV 3D Tour Mashup with Drone-Captured Models DanSmigrod 13 9 monthsron0987 (1101): @DanSmigrod I have used Pix4d and the end product does not have as clean lines with the vertical and horizontal meshes, this sample is again some of the best I have seen with clean lines about as good as you can without ground level 3D scanning that does have a clean look.
SPAR3D-How to Make Money with PIX4D and Your Drone DanSmigrod 3 11 monthsDanSmigrod (18301): @Matt19 I recall seeing posts by WGAN Forum Members using PIX4D. That's why I did the interview  Best, Dan
