Shoot4Photography: How to use Matterport to shoot photos for real estate DanSmigrod 4 3 monthsGETMYVR (1850): I did this for the first 3 years as a real estate photographer until I bought a Nikon d850. I shoot five brackets and have really good editors and it's not the same but a good way to maybe offer very cheap photos to the agent.
best way to include before pics in MP tour pixelray 3 1 yearpixelray (1040): awesome... thanks!
Real estate photos versus real estate test drives: homebuyers prefer? GETMYVR 11 2 yearsGETMYVR (1850): @Dataventurer excellent deep dive on the stats, thanks! I agree with the pics, they are preeminent above everything. Today I was talking to one of my agents when I was shooting some photos, and she mentioned she's been 3 hours at an open house and had five people walk in. No offers from any of them. Typically open houses are on the weekend for about 3 hours either on a Saturday or a Sunday. She's one of my better customers who also gets...
Matterport Extracted Photos: every shot is fuzzy (You too?) ron0987 15 3 yearsJuMP (2031): @lilnitsch I just tried insta360 player. But seems like it can't support 16K x 8K panorama on my laptop. BTW the zoom function is not ZOOM enough. You should try our panorama check page http://www.iit3d.com/pano/PanoCheck.html. Make sure your have enough free memory before drop the 16K x 8K panorama to our page, it may turn black screen if out of memory. You can close and restart your Chrome to clean the memory buffer.
Question of the Day: How long to shoot 2D DSLR photos/2,500 SQ FT Listing? DanSmigrod 3 3 yearsExpertise (1178): Depends on quality they paid for. If we're shooting all ambient it should be 45-60 minutes. Mid-level (ambient plus some on camera flash) will take 90 minutes. Ambient plus multiple flashes will take about 2 hours. We would typically deliver about 33 images on a nice 2500 SF house.
Problem With High Resolution 2D Snapshots TheRealtor 14 3 yearstoddwaddington (526): Thanks, @DanSmigrod. I'm a MAC guy and it looks like this is a Windows recommendation but there are apps that might accomplish the same on MAC OS. But the idea of using full screen capture is an interesting one. I have a 27" 5K iMac. I just tried a full screen capture of one of my scans. Ended up being 13mb, larger than what MP exports. The quality of the image still doesn't match my standard high res images, but it is interesting to...

Video: How to make a good living on two $155 real estate photo shoots daily DanSmigrod 4 3 yearsDanSmigrod (29852): @JoeyMac1965 Thank you for your metrics. So helpful as a "reality check" for those with ongoing business and for those just starting out. Glad to hear that you are thriving. @ron0987 Eli's real estate business photography business, Norman & Young, use to use a Matterport Pro Camera. They switched to Ricoh Theta Z1 cameras because the workflow is much faster and the results are "good enough" for the price point that...

Matterport High Resolution photo problem. How to solve? kolendaj 11 4 yearskolendaj (10): Update... I resized the original Matterport photo's from 72 dpi to 300 dpi (in Photoshop). The Listing Concierge said the photo's were "perfect". Lesson learned. Thank you all for the help.
Thoughts on HDR for Listing Photos? briangreul 25 4 yearsExpertise (1178): Brian: I know what you're thinking... eye level is how we see the world, so cameras should be at around eye level. BUT- we are using ultra wide angle lenses and they distort the shit out of everything. Close things look HUGE, things on the other side of the room look tiny. Things on the edge of the frame are stretched like crazy. Height differences between the lens and nearby objects exacerbate the distortion. If you're 5 ft away from a...

MLS Image Parameters leeverdon 3 6 yearsimmersivespaces (1229): MLS services vary on what they accept for image sizes. Your best bet is to contact your local MLS provider and ask to speak to the person who manages it. We have 6 different MLS providers in our area, and each is different. One of them here will not accept images larger than 720x680 (which I personally find ludicrous). In most cases, the MLS service will accept any file size for upload and they will automatically process the file to the size...
