Send Matterport 1099-misc form?3767

We should be sending Matterport a 1099 form correct? Most of us spend over $600 on their hosting services a year. I'm not an accountant but seems like this is necessary correct? The due date to send is tomorrow FYI.

I'm from Canada and so different tax rules... but I'll give this a shot:

You are not a Matterport employee and so they wouldn't have any tax forms to give to you.

What is rather the case is that Matterport hosting is a business expense for you and so you just need to print off the monthly statements to send to your accountant to write those costs off.

Do you send your mobile carrier a 1099? That's what I thought. Next.

If you worked as an independent contractor for Matterport and earned over $600, they would send you a 1099-MISC.
