Wyzlo private msg quote post Address this user
This was very very difficult job

5 days
1700 Mts2 construction
3.500 Mts2 of land
lots of exteriors

The biggest challenge in this one was the time to do exteriors
only 45 min per day.

You can walk all !!

What you think?

Regards daniel

How did you manage to get 500 scans processed? How long did it take for them to do it?

I find the transitions between daytime, twilight and evening a bit bothersome, but the views are spectacular. Great work.

Great job. How do you resolve the alignment problem?

Well done @Wyzlo this really show what the camera can do in low light situations especially on exterior shoots. I can see the difficulty you had in tying the SP together, just waiting for the right light so they'd align. This is a real show piece and you should be very proud of it.

I upload every day what I did.
The internet in that House was very fast so 45 min to upload the interiors. then like 6 hours to receive the email.

the next days more fast uploading and email.
I finish that House Yesterday with my last scan at 7:00 pm.

Hey yes it was very difficult, i try to cheat the camera all time, most all the misalignments came the next day and when starting.

So I what I did is changing one scan to a new floor, make some shots and return the scan to his original floor.

This sounds interesting... can you elaborate?
Do you mean you can stop scanning 1st floor and just start a new scan ANYWHERE on 2nd floor? I thought 2nd floor scan still had to align with some other existing scan (usually the staircase)

I understand Wyzlo's method to deal with this huge property is to cheat the system by telling it "this is a new floor" when starting on another day, so he can divide the huge job into multiple parts and finish them with more than one day.

@wyzlo: what is the actual size of the whole property?

I'm pretty impressed. You have courage to have taken this on and the results are amazing.

Very clever, you've really have pressed the capabilities of the camera. You deserve a 5 star rating for this effort and ingenuity but since we don't have stars I'll have to award you a 5 pints rating

@wyzlo Nice job! Felicitaciones!

Does the free Matterport VR conversion works with this model over 500 scans? Have you try it with the Google Cardboard or Samsung Gear VR?

I Will make a 4300 m2 scan to a Colonial House in Cartagena/ Colombia. I was wondering how the VR works in a large model. I am traveling right now but I didnĀ“t bring my Samsung Gear VR to try your model, thats why I ask.

Thanks

@aerialpixels Hey

yes let say I finish 1st day at the terrace (edges)
next day I move one of the scan to a new floor, and place in the same spot (or near), as is in the same spot the camera will find more easy to align.

at least it works with me as fight sometimes for more than 15 min. the best way I found was by moving one to a new floor, and bringing back to the original floor after a couple scans

@Wyzlo
Did you always work on the "original" model and upload the "original model" each day with the new scans added to it? This would keep the duplicated daily model work as "backups" for each day's work?

@JohnLoser

Yes, every day you open the same model In capture app
And add the new ones.

I will go again to finish a better view in Dollhouse.
(and the parking spaces (entrance to the House)
